If you are seeing this message then, unfortunately, we have not been able to approve you for credit on this occasion. There could be a number of reasons for this and due to our credit decisioning being automated, we aren't able to change the decision. As a responsible lender, it's important we make lending decisions that are fair to our customers and therefore not every customer is always, automatically approved.
Each time you apply to enter into an instalment plan, we’ll take many different factors into account such as your repayment history and any funding constraints that may exist when deciding to lend you credit. You can learn more about this in our terms and conditions and our FAQs. This means that we may not give you credit in future when we did in the past and we won’t always give you a detailed explanation as to why. The decision is based on many factors including your credit report, this data is provided by credit reference agencies which is made up of the information you’ve shared with different companies and institutions over a period of time.
As our processes are automated, agents do not have any input in this process and cannot override the decision.
Please note that if you do have any outstanding instalments on your account you can still pay these down and can do this through your customer portal either on the app or by visiting zip.co/uk.
